PROBLEM
As a college student, I personally know the struggles of managing time effectively. Many current productivity tools don't cater to student needs, making it difficult for them to organize assignments, track progress, and strike a balance between work and life efficiently.
SOLUTION
Began each day with a task list to visualize your time usage
Keep track of what you accomplished for the day by checking off list
Add, remove, and check off tasks with ease
INITIAL POINTS: USER STORY DIAGRAM & RESEARCH
Created a user story diagram to structure my app
My role
Solo student project for Web Design class
Many college students face challenges in effectively managing their time and tasks, leading to decreased productivity and increased stress levels.
LIST, TRACK, REPEAT
WRITE, RATE, RECORD
Understand your patterns better
Track your mood at the start of each day
Journal your thoughts/routine
View your data after each day/week to better understand your productivity patterns
Repeat your most productive days through previous data
Researched on the relationship between time management and productivity
I started with with researches and experiments that had to do with the variables I was exploring, with the time spent I found a common theme on the National Library of Medicine.
“Time management impacts wellbeing—and in particular life satisfaction—to a greater extent than performance.”

Takeaways
Research Insights: Despite facing time constraints and pressure to deliver, I acknowledge that allocating only a few days out of the four weeks for research impacted the depth of my project. Recognizing the importance of continuous research throughout the project's timeline, I aim to prioritize this aspect in future projects.
Feedback Challenges: Due to the strict deadline, my ability to thoroughly test the app and gather extensive user feedback was limited. Given more time, I would have conducted additional tests to gain a broader perspective. Learning from this, I aim to allow sufficient time for comprehensive testing and user feedback in future projects.
Accessibility Considerations: Reflecting on the feedback received from a limited audience, I acknowledge the importance of making my designs more accessible to diverse user backgrounds. Future revisions will include considerations for users with different needs, such as those with low vision, so the text is easier for them to view, ensuring a more inclusive and user-friendly experience.
Embracing Imperfection: Recognizing my perfectionist tendencies, I've learned from the initial hours spent on perfecting brainstorming without sketches or wireframes. I now understand the value of setting boundaries and deadlines to avoid overextending myself. My inspiration for design now stems from the lesson of accountability, using a similar app to stay focused and efficient.
Building on Inspiration: Embracing my role as a relatively new designer, I acknowledge that inspiration can be drawn from existing products. I understand that it's acceptable and beneficial to leverage inspiration from similar designs, as it creates creativity and helps in moving the project forward.
